My love of Goldens started with a puppy kiss at 3:00am in the morning. My father bought my brother a golden puppy, and for some reason they brought her to my room first. Cassie gave me a puppy kiss and I mumbled welcome home Cassiopeia. And her name was born.
Cassie lead an interesting full life. She saved a childs life (during the time she was missing from my life- actually stolen by the child's parents), and saved mine. She was a best friend, lady and because of her my life was fuller. I went on long walks with her to the river (Potomac), took her to Harpersferry WVa regularly, or we just went for car rides.
Cassie taught me not all dogs are the same. She learned to spell River, Potomac, and I was dreading having to spell the neighboring Shenadoah ! I have had the joy of a Rescue Golden Oddie- who taught me the joy of a goofy male golden (Luekemia claimed him 2 yrs later).
Just 9 months before Cassie went to the bridge I brought home a tiny little red Feild golden and named her Andromeda in honor of her (in mythology Cassiopeia's daughter was Andromeda), Cassie adopted Andy and taught her to be a Lady.
Cassie went to bridge 17 days shy of 15th birthday.
Since that day I have added a few more goldens to my life and this site is to introduce them to you. Enjoy.

Oddie was a rescue who left us too soon. His legacy is my love and appreciation of Goofy Male Goldens! The stories he has inspired only bring joy and laughter no regrets.
I am the oldest of two children. (Boring I know). As you may see I have an interesting sense of humor. This comes in handy with my other "jobs"- Substitute teacher - High School!, Dealer in Antiques & Collectibles (with my Mom). I also grow Bonsai's! As Dad says- more living things to tend to!
Even as a child I wanted to work with animals- it was the math that killed my plans on being a vet. I never thought I would be able to "breed" or as I prefer "Raise" Goldens until I was injured on the job and was unable to work a full time job anymore. I figured now I have the time to devote to raising well socialized Golden Retrievers. This website is dedicated to that dream and my friend Cassie.
