At Cassiopeias Golden Legacy Kennel we take the job of breeding our golden retrievers very seriously, because each is like a member of the family. Mothers don’t begin breeding until they are at least 2 years old. Plus, we hand select our breeding stock and pairings to make sure that we are keeping the good temperament, health and intelligence of the breed.
Our beloved goldens are given every opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest on our sprawling property, nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. From morning walks to field trips to the Potomac river, we make sure our puppies get the opportunity to explore the great outdoors and socialize with other dogs.
Our Breeding Practices Include:
- OFA certification for hip and heart
- CERT certifications - eye
- Raised with cats for better socialization
- Phone or e-mail support for as long as you have your golden
We like to keep all of the dogs we breed as a part of the Cassiopeias Golden Legacy family. We stand by the commitment by answering your questions by phone, no matter how old your golden is. We also hold an annual reunion where we re-unite littermates. We take pictures and share stories of our dogs and find out about unique characteristics many of them share. Once you’re dog is a Cassiopeias's dog, it’s always welcomed back to the family.
